In an unanticipated turn of events, Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester unsealed files on Monday in the highly controversial George Zimmerman trial, reports The Grio.

Zimmerman is charged by the state of Florida with murder in the second degree for the shooting death of unarmed, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012.
At Zimmerman’s first hearing on April 12, and at the request of the 28-year-old former neighborhood watch captain’s legal council, Attorney Mark O’ Mara, Judge Mark E. Herr ruled that “any documents filed after the probable-cause affidavit are to be sealed.”
