‘I don’t think she quite understood your tribute,’ he said.
His softer side didn’t last long however, adding: ‘You’ve got to be able to sing in tune. There wasn’t a note in tune.’
The performer, who was in tears, then had to explain how he ‘had to fight real hard to get here.’
He added that he was on welfare and had almost missed the audition because he couldn’t afford to pay his phone bill.
Once the Hit Me Baby One More Time songstress returned to her seat, she reassured the performer that she had, in fact, enjoyed the song.
