Coming as no surprise, TMZ is reporting that Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, has resigned from Sesame Street in wake of a new lawsuit accusing him of having sex with an underage boy …..the second such allegation in 2 weeks.
Representatives of Sesame Workshop states:
“Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from Sesame Street. This is a sad day for Sesame Street.”
