Bring your Skittles and wear your suits to this week’s upcoming Trayvon Martin rallies sponsored by True Healing Under God. The rallies are tonight at Temple Church International and at noon Saturday in front of the Federal Courthouse Building in Charlotte.
True Healing Under God’s John Barnett wants children to bring Skittles to tonight’s rally. Martin told the Charlotte Observer that his organization will bring Skittles to the children of inmates, with a picture of Martin.
Unlike other rallies for Martin, Barnett is not asking participants to wear hoodies. Instead he is encouraging young men to wear suits both events. Barnett told the Observer Martin would not have been shot had he been nicely dressed.
Tonight’s rally starts at 6 p.m.
