The votes are in and Charlotte has a new Mayor, Radio One’s very own Patrick D. Cannon.
Crowds filled the room, at last nights Election watch party, held at the Sheration Hotel. Cannon beat his opponent Edwin Peacook, in a close race by 6 percent. Cannon stated he wanted to now take time off with his family, and enjoy the win. Mayor Cannon is set to take office in January of 2014.
