Fan Experience – This is the official fan festival event that takes place at the Charlotte Convention Center from Thursday, February 27 through Saturday, March 1. This free, family-friendly event includes numerous activities, giveaways and concerts throughout the weekend. Celebrity guests include Tatyana Ali, Dawnn Lewis, DJ Rock T, Lance Gross, Morris Chestnut, Malcom Jamal Warner and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Yolanda Adams, will host her nationally syndicated morning show on Friday, February 28 at 5:30 a.m. presented by Lowe’s.

Fan Experience also will feature free concerts on the Coke Zero Sound Stage and will host a variety of performers. “Throwback” Thursday, February 27 AARP presents Grammy Award winner Regina Belle at 8:30 p.m. followed by Jagged Edge at 9 p.m. “New School” Friday, February 28, the official Lowe’s Day, will feature Mack Wilds at 9 p.m. and on “Super Saturday,” March 1, Monica will perform at 6:30 p.m.

Coors Light 3 v. 3 Tournament – For basketball fans looking to create their own tournament excitement, the Coors Light 3 v. 3 Tournament is an opportunity to showcase skills on the court within Fan Experience. Players of any skill level are encouraged to participate – whether new to the game or a seasoned player. Games will be played on Thursday – Friday, Feb. 27-28 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Mar. 1 at 2 p.m.

Education Day – Wednesday, Feb. 26, invites thousands of middle and high school students to explore higher education opportunities after graduation. The free event will take place at the Charlotte Convention Center, Ballroom Level. Check in for high school students begins at 8:30 a.m., and 9:30 a.m. for middle school students.

Career Expo – Thursday, Feb. 27, connects CIAA college students and alumni with possible future employers. Charlotte Convention Center, Ballroom A and B, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., free and open to the public.

CIAA Old School Skate Party featuring “DJ Kool”, Hosted By: Olympia Dee from Old School 105.3 – Thursday, Feb. 27 – This adult-only (21+) event is hosted by Mid Day Diva Olympia Dee featuring DJ KOOL & DJ Hukher. Kate’s Skating Rink, 14500 Independence Blvd., Indian Trail, N.C., 9 p.m. – 2 a.m., Tickets: $20.

CIAA Stepshow Throwdown – Greek vs. Greek, Hosted by Brian White from “Stomp the Yard” and Jay Dukes – Friday, Feb. 28 – Watch steppers from CIAA institutions and other HBCUs complete for a grand prize. Grady Cole center, 310 N. King Dr., 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m., Tickets: $30.

CIAA Stepshow “Step Off” – Saturday, Mar. 1 featuring middle school and high school teams from around the country competing in front of 5,000 fans. Grady Cole center, 310 N. King Dr., 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m., Tickets: $20.
