The sentence has been handed down to former Mayor of NOLA Mr. Ray Nagin…..& it wasn’t good. 10 years. Wow. I wasn’t expecting that. Let’s not forget folks, that’s FED time. Man….but you know the old saying, “if you do the crime…” you know the rest. For those that don’t know these are federal corruption charges that he was found guilty of (bribery, money laundering, etc.) & clearly U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan was not playing when she handed down the sentence. My lasting impression of Mayor Nagin was definitely the heart he showed fighting for his city after Katrina. I really took my hat off to him for that, & I also know that played well as far as ‘character’ in his case. I guess she did him a solid because they were trying to get him 20 years! Oh well, I guess the moral of this story is be like Spike Lee in 88′, & just “Do The RIGHT Thing”. Guess what else? I’m OUT!
