Change is coming to Beatties Ford. For decades one of the city’s central corridors has been detoriating and city leaders and developers have often talked about revitalizing the street, but nothing has happened.
Change is coming.
This week, a group of national real estate heavyweights comes to town to study the area and create a blueprint for its future. The D.C.-based Urban Land Institute is leading the study today through Thursday. Johnson C. Smith University hopes to open a new performing arts studio and teaching center it built on it.
What type of development would help that area? Retail? Residential? Restaurants?
