During the month of October Radio One Charlotte will give back to the community as a part of the Radio One 30th Anniversary Celebration dubbed The 30 Days of Giving.
Each Tuesday and Thursday during the month of October Radio One Charlotte staff will serve lunch at the Harvest Center (1800 Brewton Drive). The Harvest Center of Charlotte is a non-profit organization that depends on charitable donations from foundations, churches, individuals and many dedicated volunteers to serve low-income families, the homeless and area youth.
In addition, staff will distribute clothing at the New Beginnings Clothing Closet each Wednesday in October.
Other events associated with the Radio One 30th Anniversary Celebration include:
- Spotlighting 30 Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things
- Food and clothing drives at local Wal-Mart stores. Donations will benefit the Harvest Center.
