A birthday party in west Charlotte turned into a home invasion site overnight, with two party-goers suffering gunshot wounds, police say.
It happened about 12:30 a.m. at an apartment in the 600 block of West Boulevard, according to police reports.
Several people were in the apartment at the time, and they told police two gunmen broke in. The attackers robbed the occupants, police said, and during the robbery two occupants were shot. Police said the victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, but they were taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center.
