Last week Mary J. Blige came under fire for singing about a chicken wrap in a Burger King commercial that will likely never hit the airwaves.

The Queen of Hip Hop Soul has finally issued a statement to TMZ about the commercial’s release and how she didn’t approve the cut that Burger King put on Youtube:

I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that’s not what was happening in that clip. I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you’re a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out.

Burger King released this statement later:

We would like to apologize to Mary J. and all of her fans for airing an ad that was not final.

So there you have it – hopefully this shuts down all the criticism from Mary’s fans. But before we let it go completely … we had to share Houston’s DJ Rob G’s Mary J’s chicken wrap commercial mix.  Check out the audio from the mix and shouts out to The Box Houston for sharing this with us!
