As India Arie is getting ready to release her new album, SongVersation, on June 25th, she is met with anger and allegations from fans that she has bleached her skin to appear lighter. Why is this so important? Well, India has always boasted about her self confidence and loving her dark skin. If she is bleaching her skin, many feel that this would mean that she and her music are a hypocrisy.
