The Scandal star and famed television producer are teaming up for a new dramedy (drama-comedy) that has yet to be titled. Reportedly one of Rhimes’ “many projects in the works,” the new show “will focus on a clique of young nannies and the ‘insanity of modern child-rearing.’” Kerry, a hit on the small screen, is taking a different approach this time around.
Kerry Washington will be joining Scandal co-star Katie Lowes to executive produce Shondaland’s latest television show.
Categorized as a drama comedy, Shonda Rhimes’ latest addition is currently untitled. However, the plot, written by Bess Wohl, who will also executive produce the series, will focus on a clique of young nannies and the “insanity of modern child-rearing,” as described by Variety.
This dramedy is one of Shonda Rhimes’ many projects in the works, along with a Romeo and Juliet follow-up series, a Catholic nun drama, a suburban singles comedy and a Baghdad-set military drama project.
We’re here for it.
As Kerry heats up the small screen, Michelle Rodriguez is making waves in the film industry.
The Fast and Furious beauty is all set to star in a gender reassignment movie titled, Tomboy, A Revenger’s Tale. Written by Walter Hill, this thriller tells the story of an “ace assassin (Rodriguez) who is double-crossed by gangsters and falls into the hands of rogue surgeon known as “The Doctor,” who turns him into a woman.”
Talk about a plot. Stay tuned for a release date.
Miller High Life is on our radar, and here’s why. The popular beer brewing company has teamed up with up-and-coming menswear brand, Stock Mfg. Co, to create what we think is a pretty dope men’s clothing line.
All of the pieces were inspired by High Life advertisements, and Stock dove through more than one hundred years of High Life ads to create the perfect “heritage collection” in celebration of the iconic beer.
Take a closer look at Stock x High Life here. The line does not disappoint.
The Man in 3-B will hit theaters on Friday, November 6th and we suggest you get your tickets now.
The first film from 18-time New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber, The Man in 3-B was selected as a spotlight festival feature at the 19th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival in New York, and before that, was honored at the Pan African Film and Arts Festival in Los Angeles.
Now, as its official premiere date draws near, a trailer has been released – and it’s juicy, to say the least. Starring Lamman Rucker, Billy Dee Williams, Christian Keyes, Kellita Smith, and up-and-coming actress Brely Evans, this star-studded cast is going to take us for a wild ride just in time for the holidays.
