Alright…we’re getting closer and closer to the biggest concert of the year!

Funkfest is going to be the talk of Queen City and you don’t want to miss this! Everything is going down August 12th at the PNC Pavilion. Doors open at 2pm and the show starts at 4pm!!!

We’re getting you in the mood for some the biggest artist to hit the PNC Pavilion stage and who other than Bobby Brown can get you there.

From New Edition to his solo hits, Bobby Brown has kept us dancing and in his business from his marriage to Whitney Houston and the highly successful New Edition mini series that aired earlier this year on BET.

We want to give you our top 5 videos plus an honorable mention because there are so many to choose from.

So let’s kick this off!

Honorable Mention:

Word To The Mutha with B.B.D. and the rest of New Edition

This is the first video the guys since Brown left the group. With all the drama surrounding them at the time, it’s nice to see the guys all come together and support one another in their hometown of Boston, Massachusetts where New Edition grew up.

5. On Our Own (Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack)

After the success of Don’t Be Cruel and his remix album, Dance, You Know It!, Bobby had two songs on the Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack and this song became a Top 10 hit peaking at #2.

4. Something In Common (feat. Whitney Houston)

After Bobby Brown married Whitney Houston in 1992, the couple made this song together that became a UK hit but also showcase their love for those who doubted the relationship because of their age gap.

3. Humpin Around

I mean what can we say…Bobby was Bobby in this video and made us dance as usual. Another hit for B. Brown! Telling a woman how can you trust if you’re always snooping around to a hype beat. You don’t even think about the lyrics…you’re just dancing.

2. My Prerogative

Bobby’s anthem after leaving New Edition produced by the New Jack Swing king Teddy Riley, this single along with Don’t Be Cruel and Every Little Step became hits for Bobby and he even won a couple of awards. You know like a Grammy, an American Music Award, etc.

1. Don’t Be Cruel

Bobby was already a star but Don’t Be Cruel solidified his place as a solo star. Brown laid low for a year to work on the title track project with producers like Babyface, L.A. Reid and Teddy Riley. Brown kicked up the dust of the New Jack Swing Era and dominated for the rest of the 80s and the early 90s.
