Without a doubt one of my favorite female emcees, & we’re giving a big Happy Birthday shout to the one & only MC Lyte! From the very first time I heard her with the joint “I Cram To Understand You”, I was hooked. The voice, the vocal presence, & the lyricism was all there. Then when “Paper Thin” dropped?!? It was REALLY a wrap! I hurried up & bought “Lyte As A Rock”….the cassette & vinyl! Hahaha!!! She dropped many more classics, & today is still killing it with the dJing, performing, & voice overs!
