Congrats are in order for Kendrick Lamar! The brotha is still having a heck of a run off of his “DAMN.” album, & this accolade is huge. The man just won the “2018 Pulitzer Prize For Music” & this nothing short of amazing. This award has never been given to ‘mainstream’ artists, let alone a rapper. On Pulitzer’s website they stated that DAMN. was a virtuosic song collection unified by it’s vernacular authenticity & rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life” according to Noisey. Way to go K-Dot!!!
