The June 29 Maxwell concert at Time Warner Cable Arena has been cancelled. Charlotte isn’t the only city to lose its Maxwell date.

According to the blog TheLatestMaxwellNews.com, the June 17 show in D.C. and any shows after June 26 have been cancelled or postponed, except July 15 (Baltimore). Postponed/Cancelled: Greensboro, NC, Charlotte, NC, Columbia, SC, Pensacola, FL, Nashville, TN, Highland Heights, KY (Cincinnati, OH), Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Buffalo, NY, and Boston, MA.

According to Ticketmaster, the Charlotte concert is listed as postponed, but I’m doubtful the show will be rescheduled. Let’s face it, booking Maxwell less than a year after he performed at Time Warner Arena was a surprise. Plus, Live Nation never announced whether Jill Scott or Erykah Badu would be on the bill which made it even less likely that a second Maxwell concert would sell well here.

Live Nation has not released a statement regarding the postponements and cancellations.
