QcityMetro.com Style editor, and homie, Lashawnda Becoats is covering Fashion Week in New York. For nearly a week, she’s braved snow and bitter temperatures to show us the latest fashions from black designers as well as other designers we love.
Becoats reported that designer Tracy Reese showed her fall collection at the big tent, and was the only African American to do so. Congrats Reese!
Becoats also checked out designer Korto Momolu, the former Project Runway star who showed her collection here last year.
Becoats also attended the Arise show, which was one of the most popular shows. You can see why in Hello Beautiful’s photo gallery below.
Becoats is blogging for QcityMetro, and providing hourly updates on Facebook and Twitter. The Charlotte Observer has also been running her coverage.
